More "In Focus"

Absolutely Adorable!

It has been awhile since we have photographed these adorable brother-and-sister-twins.  They have grown and changed so much in that time, and they have such little personalities. We had such a great time.  

This session was made extra special, because the main purpose for it was to capture some great shots of the twins with one set of their grandparents.  (No worries, we have already scheduled the session with their other set of grandparents.  There is no favoritism here!)

Can’t you tell from the following pictures that there is no lack of love for these two cuties?

Mommy & Me

Sometimes, for our youngest clients, it’s hard to leave mommy – and by “leave” we mean be separated by a foot or two.  J  When that happens, our philosophy is to just embrace it and get some really sweet captures of what “Mommy & Me” do best. 

Here are some of those captures from this little cutie pie.  This is the second time we have been lucky enough to photograph her.  She lives in New Jersey with her mommy and daddy - and all of them are very near and dear to our hearts.  Every summer we make a point to visit and reconnect with these good friends and, at the same time, get some great shots like these. 

 



 

And when we are really patient, every now and again, we get a great capture like this.

What a Beautiful Couple!

We had so much fun working with this couple – from their engagement photos right through to their wedding day.  The weather turned out to be absolutely beautiful, and all of their hard work and planning really paid off.  Once the formalities were over – there was plenty of time to party at the reception.  From what we were able to see, a great time was had by all – the bride and groom, the guests and even us! 









 

Look how happy he is after he has kissed his bride for the first time! 









This little cutie was a big hit and everyone wanted the chance to hold her!

 

Finally, it was time for the last dance.  Doesn't she look truly content?!

Beach Sessions

The beach is a great place to take kids for a session, because it offers so many different things for them to explore.  When they are busy exploring, they don’t realize we are taking pictures; and, when they find a cool treasure, they are excited to show it off.  Usually, once they get a chance to do their thing, they don’t mind sitting for a couple of “posed” shots for us.  It’s a really nice balance. 

This beautiful family had the perfect beach session.  The live fiddler crabs were a big hit – the seaweed, not as much!  Spending some time walking the beach with mom and dad is always a good thing.  The bubbles at the end were just what the girls needed to finish the long walk back to the car.

Why We Love Weddings So Much

From the time we are hired to do a wedding, we start working with the bride and groom through engagement portraits and pre-wedding consultations.  By the time the wedding arrives, the bride and groom not only consider us to be friends . . . they trust us, too.  That’s crucial on a day that can otherwise be very stressful.  Most of our brides and grooms have heard horror stories about other photographers, and the ability to know and trust us before the wedding arrives gives them a great sense of peace. 

It is not common, however, for us to meet the parents or extended family and friends that will also be participating in the wedding ahead of time.  So when the wedding day arrives, we are strangers (of sorts) to them.  And, for the most part, they are not really interested in having their pictures taken over and over again.  But, over the course of the day, we witness a transformation.  They not only get to know us and like us, too, they start grabbing us at the reception and ask us to come take pictures of different people.  When the day is done, they, too, have become friends and are excited to see the pictures.   

For us, it really doesn’t get much better than this.

Meet Our Final ’09 Senior Representative

This is Anna.  She is a Junior at Catherine McAuley High School, and she loves the performing arts.  We had a lot of fun meeting Anna and her dad, and we are really looking forward to working together this year.  Here are some of our favorites from her session.

Another Member of the Class of '09!

We are having so much fun meeting and working with our Senior Representatives.  If they are any indication of what the class of 2009 is like - it's going to be a great year! 

Meet Lindsay.  She is currently a junior at Bonny Eagle and loves soccer and track.  We met Lindsay through one of our favorite seniors from last year.  Lindsay loved her friend's portraits and is excited to be working with us this year. 

 

 

 

We have already started receiving calls to book senior sessions - that's the earliest we have ever booked them.  It looks like this summer is going to be a busy one!

He’s Here!

Introducing our newest and youngest client!  Isn’t he adorable?! 

He made his grand entrance a few days later than mom and dad (and the grandparents and aunts and uncles) were hoping for, but all of that is a distant memory now.

Welcome Class of 2009!

 As the Class of 2008 is preparing for graduation, we have already begun our work with the Class of 2009. 

Meet Kayla!  She is currently a Junior at Gorham High School, and she will be working with us this year as one of our Senior Portrait Representatives.  We first met Kayla’s wonderful family last year when we took her sister’s senior portraits.
