We certainly have been having a good ‘ol fashion Maine winter around here. With another storm today and one or two more looming on the horizon, the cabin fever is setting in for most of us. Don’t lose all hope, though. Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow today, so we could have an early Spring!
Even though you may be tired of seeing the snow, this really is a beautiful time of year to get outside and take pictures. We took these pictures only a week before Sebago Lake fully froze over (given the amount of open water, that seems so hard to believe!). The air temperature was well below freezing that day, but the temperature of the lake was much warmer. The combination of the two created a huge fog bank that sat right over the lake on an otherwise bright sunny day. It was truly beautiful to see.
So, if you find yourself feeling like the walls are closing in, grab your camera and head outside! You might surprise yourself with the beautiful images you capture.
Until the next time,
Judianne and Ron
